1.5 Simple But Essential: Favicon, Logo and Copyrights

We’ve chosen some simple but essential items for you to begin working on, on your store. Throughout this article, you will work on changing the favicon, the logo, (Index, Follow) and the copyrights of your store. Good luck!



- Favicon:

The Favicon is the small squared image usually 16×16 pixels which is used on web browsers to show a graphical representation of the site being visited, showing on the left side of the browser tab. You have probably seen many favicons before, even if you didn’t know what they were. The image below shows the favicons framed in black.

Here are the steps to add a Favicon image to your store, kindly follow the below steps:

  • From your admin panel go to “System” > “Advanced” > “Settings
  • From the left sidebar go to “General” > “Design
  • Then click on the “HTML Head” tab to expand
  • In the “Favicon Icon” field, click on the Choose File button, and choose the image that you have created, from your computer

  • Don’t forget to click on the “Save Config” button once you finish


- Logo

The Logo is the icon/symbol that identifies your store and makes it stand out on the internet.


Here again, you need the right Logo size. Here is theme Clarity's recommended logo size:

 130px X 42px


After resizing your Logo, follow these steps:

  • From your admin panel go to “System” > “Advanced” > “Settings”.
  • From the left sidebar click on “ShopGo” > “Shopgo Logoupload”.
  • Click on “Choose File” to upload your logo

  • Don’t forget to click on the “Save Config” button once you finish


- Index, Follow

In order to allow the search engines to start reading the pages of the store, kindly follow the below steps:

  • From you store’s dashboard, go to “System” > “Advanced” > “Settings
  • Click on “Design” under “General
  • Them click on “HTML Head” tab to expand it
  • Scroll down to “Default Robots” and set it to “INDEX, FOLLOW
  • Once you finish click on “Save Config” button


- Copyrights

The Copyright is a law that gives you ownership over the things you create. In order to add copyrights to your store, kindly follow the below steps:

  • From your admin panel go to “System” > “Advanced” > “Settings
  • From the left sidebar go to “General” > “Design
  • Then click on the “Footer” tab to expand
  • In the “Copyright” field change the company’s name and the year

  • Don’t forget to click on the “Save Config” button once you finish

At the end of this article, you should be able to successfully upload your Favicon, Logo, Index, follow the store and change the copyrights’ sentence.
