2.26 Simple but Essential: How To Setup Email Templates On My Store
Introduction
Creating email templates on your store should help with the communication between you and your customers.
Steps
Transactional emails
By default the store offers you ready email templates that you can start using. However, you might need to customize them based on your needs.
In order to know how to customize and edit on the email template, kindly follow the below steps:
Choose the default template:
- From your admin panel go to “System” > ”General Configurations” > ”Sales” > ”Transactional Emails”.
- Click the “Add New Template” button.
- In the Load default template section, choose the default Template you want to use as a starting point. Then, click the “Load Template” button.

Customize the content: In the Template Information section, do the following:
Enter a Template Name for the new email template.
- Enter a “Template Name” for the new email template.
- In the “Template Subject” field, type in the text to appear in the Subject header of the message.
- Complete the “Template Content”, according to your needs.
- Click on Save Template

After you are done with the above steps, you have to add the new template that you created in the email configuration by following the below instructions:
- From your admin panel go to “System” > “Advanced” > “Settings”
- Click on “Sales Emails” under “Sales”.
- Change the “Template”name to the new name that you added for the one you created.
- Once you finish click on “Save Config” button.
Change the logo on the emails sent from the store
The e-mail logo appears at the top of the automated email messages that are sent to customers, such messages are referred to as “Transactional Emails” and are based on templates which can be customized to suit your needs.
In order to know how to change the emails logo, kindly follow the below steps:
- From your admin panel go to System > Advanced > Settings.
- Click on “Design” from the left menu under “General”.
- Click on “Transactional Email” tab to expand, then click on “Choose File” button.

- Logo Image Alt: In case the logo image is not loaded in the web page, write a description instead of keeping the page without an image, for example write the name of the store
- Once you finish click on “Save Config” button.
Outcome
At the end of this article, you should be able to setup a new email template, and add a new email logo.
