What is Custom Fields
Introduction
Custom Fields provide an easy way to offer a selection of product options to your customer that is customized or specially made.
The limitations are that you cannot track inventory based on any option. Custom Fields are a good solution to most product customized options.
To create a custom field, follow these steps:
1. From your store dashboard go to Products and select the product
2. in the page-top click on this icon
3. Click on + Add Custom Filed
4. Fill in the fields as below:
- In the Title field, specify the name of this variation of the product, such as Color or Size.
- Type: we currently only have Text Field.
- In the Price field, specify the difference between the price of this variation of the product and the price of the base product.
- Required checkbox: selecting Yes means the customer must fill this field in order to complete the order.
- Active checkbox: selecting Yes means the custom field is active.
