Add ,Manage Collection Pages and Menu

Introduction:


Organizing your products in collection pages is one of the essential steps in building an online store. It represents what you will be selling in a clear and easy way for the customers.

In this article, we will help you create the collection pages and add them to the main menu of the store. 

  • From the Admin panel go to Appearance

  • Scroll down to Pages section

  • Click on Edit button in Collection Pages Section as shown below


  • Click on New Page button as shown below:


  • Fill in the needed fields:

    • Title: the name of this category

    • Slug: it will be written automatically and it is the URL Key of this category

    • Tag: you can choose a tag from the available tags and any product having the same tag will be displayed under this collection page.

  • Click on Create button as shown below: 



Now you need to add this Collection page "Category" to the menu by following the below steps:

  • From the Admin panel go to Appearance

  • In General Section.
  • Click on Edit button in Menu Section as shown below:

  1. Click on Add Collection page as shown below:


  1. Select the Collection page you want to add to the menu and click on Add as shown below:

  1. After finishing click on Confirm as shown below:


And here how the menu been displayed on the Homepage:



Additional Options:

Rearrange the menu items:
  1. You can re Arrange the position of the menu item by clicking on the 2lines of dots   next to each collection page and drag it then drop it where you want it to be.
Multi-Level Menu:

You can have a multi-level menu "Main menu with submenu items under it"  by clicking on the arrow as shown below:


And here is the final result:


In the above example Prada will be under Brands as shown below:



Outcome

At the end of this article, you will be able to create a new collection page and prepare the menu items.
